Shelter Those Seeking Refuge

Help provide a safe place for survivors of human trafficking and gender-based violence in Sierra Leone.

Our Fundraising Goals

Between August 11 and September 30, help World Hope bring holistic healing, and hope to survivors of human trafficking and gender-based violence in Sierra Leone.

A generous donor will match, dollar for dollar, all funds raised up to $20,000. So we have the opportunity to join together to double this gift to $40,000!

The Recovery Centre serves over 100 survivors of human-trafficking and gender-based violence per year. Forty of those survivors are provided with holistic, confidential, and secure residential care.

WHI meets a very unique, and critical, need in serving these survivors. With COVID-19 creating additional vulnerabilities for those who are already on the margins, there has been an influx of referrals to the Recovery Centre over the past two months.

The centre provides the only confidential and holistic space for short-term residential care in the country. Those who go through the program are able to heal from their abuse and go on to lead productive lives.

Please join us, in raising $40,000 to support others in their journey towards freedom.

“We are able to get convictions because those women are in WHI’s recovery shelter”
